Backyard Gardens started in Vicki Marietta’s Ohiopyle, Pennsylvania backyard garden and her kitchen. The Ohiopyle native started making the hot pepper mustards from an old fashioned recipe - "Pepper Butter" that many folks in that area make. She altered the recipe to her taste by using her home grown hot peppers in a variety of flavors and heats. She gave this away to her family and friends, and they gave it to friends and soon everyone wanted more!
